North Mississippi fisherman

Group Info:

Name:  North Mississippi fisherman

Description:

For fisherman fishing in the north Mississippi lakes such as Sardis lake, Arkabutla and Tunica.

Announcements:

The land at Lakeview was sold and now there is no fishing there after 40 years. How is it a public lake used by so many fisherman for so long to be sold without the ability to fish there now. I spoke with a Beltz rep. yesterday and no one is allowed on the lake. I think MS Game and Fish Commission should retain land for boaters to enter the lake based on intement domain if need. What is your take on it?

Anyone with info on Lakeview fishing in Horn Lake, MS. This property was sold to Beltz Enterprises and now there are signs stating vehicles will be towed away if they try to fish. How is it this was a public fishing spot for 40 years, listed on the MS Game and Fish page, and now you can not fish. Should the state have the right to section off a boat ramp to continue fishing there? The company owns the land but don't feel they own the lake but by denying access to the lake, all the fisherman are out of luck. I think it is time for our government to step in and fix this problem or maybe time to change our elected officials.
